This was another sketch while thinking about the project. I'm gonna wrap these concepts up today as the Zuda competition is over early on thursday. There is other exciting stuff to get working on. I hope people got a kick out of these images!

A month of Greece,(day 9) Hera!

One day when disguised as an old woman, Hera met a young man named Jason. She asked him for help crossing a river, and he kindly obliged. Jason was shocked when she revealed her true self to him, and from that day his kindness had brought favour to the goddess.

When the Argo was built Jason mounted a figure head of Hera in her honour, and from that day she would watch over him and his crew with her divine fondness.

This one was inked pretty small like yesterdays, but I will have something a bit better for tomorrows installment to finish off the week.

A month of Greece,(day 8) Theseus!

I remember hearing the story of Theseus killing the Minotaur with only a ball of string and a sword when I was a kid. I think I've always had a soft spot for him ever since. Oh and the string was to find his way out of the labyrinth after he had killed the beast, in case anyone was wondering! No powers or anything cool with Theseus, so I guess he just has his wits which cool. I inked this one on paper and it was kind of small, so it probably looks a bit blown up.

A month of Greece,(day 7) Polydeuces!

Polydeuces was the best boxer in Greece, who also possessed the hardest punch! He was born a twin and his brother was named Castor. Their mother was a mortal and their father the god Zeus. This resulted in Castor being mortal and Polydeuces sharing immortality like his father.

When you think about it The Argonauts were the orginial superheroes. Superman is a blow in as far as their concerned! Lol

I done the inking stage of this art on paper as I’m feeling a bit burnt out looking at my Cintiq all day. I like how this ended up so expect a few more of these!

A month of Greece,(day 6) Meleager! (he's the guy on the left)

When this Argonaut was born the Moerae appeared. In Greek mythology the Moerae were the three white robed personifications of destiny. The first and second declared that Meleager would be Nobel and brave, but the third declared that he would live only as long as a piece of wood on the fire remained unconsumed. So Meleager's mother took the wood and kept it safe within a chest. This in turn made Meleager invincible and unable to die. Pretty cool member of the Argonauts I think!

The Argonaut with incredible sight, he was said to have been able to see better than the gods, Sweet! That's the end of this week, come back on monday for some more!

Ruler of the kingdom of Colchis, and holder of the Golden Fleece. Our heroes must get by this man if they are to bring the fleece back to Greece!

Built by Argus, the greatest ship wright in those times. This vessel took the Argonauts where no one else dared. No doubt a fitting ship to carry Greeces mightiest heroes on their voyage!

A month of Greece,(day 2) Heracles!

The big man from those old ancient times is here, really the toughest Argonaut that you can get. He killed his own children when madness consumed him. His story will pan out very differently this time around though, so expect some suprises!

Jason and the Argonauts Redux on Zuda!

My Jason and the Argonauts Redux story debuts today on Zuda, I'm delighted to get the opportunity and hopefully it goes well. For the whole of December I am gonna be posting extra content from Monday to Friday right here. I really believe in this story, and hopefully readers will see my passion and vote for me as I think when complete Jason can be an awesome story. First off, this art is one of the Harpies. Expectt to see these nasty ladies if I win over at Zuda. The Argonauts will have a hard time ahead, get voting and bring on the Harpies!

So begins the comic book art adventure. I just completed this page attempting to create a gritty film noir type vibe. Happy with the results and hopefully I can push it more on the next page.
